The PROS Redesign project has been a significant undertaking—not just for our team, but for yours as well—and we’re grateful for your collaboration and patience as we navigate evolving requirements together. 📝Clarification on IRP Requirements

During the webinar, we discussed that OMH has indicated certain services may be exempt from inclusion on the IRP. This information represents a shift from previous communications we've had with OMH, and understandably introduces some complexity.

During development, our team reached out to OMH to clarify if the following services (previously considered exempt) would continue to be exempt from the IRP in the PROS Redesign.

CRS-Crisis Intervention
CRS-Pre-Admission Screening
CRS-Individualized Recovery Planning
CT-Health Assessment
CT-Psychiatric Assessment

Their guidance was: With Redesign, we (OMH) were instructed to remove the list of medically necessary services in PROS to align with the Redesign SPA. Moving forward, all services which will be provided on a regular and routine basis should be on the IRP.

We are currently reviewing how to support an IRP exemption in AWARDS PROS Billing. At this time, however, AWARDS will continue to require that all services be included on the IRP in order to be billed. We’ll provide an update once a final decision is made regarding this potential change.

The Summary Record of Service Report is still in development, expected to be available mid-May. We’ll notify you when it becomes available.

✅Getting Ready for Your First PROS Redesign Billing

Many of you are preparing to submit your first PROS Redesign claims in the coming weeks. The BillingBuilder Configuration guide walks you through each configuration step. Once setup is complete, AWARDS will begin calculating your first full month of services—including tiers and add-ons—when invoices are generated.
